Hey MyIGNers! It has been a while since I remember my last profile blog and there seems to be an rather recent influx (at least to myself) of new users. Never hurts to read about other great members of the community, both new and old. At any rate, I've been tagged by the 'Ellen Page' of this community Indie11 and a woman must reveal herself.
NAME: Mary Ann Jewels Ali

RACE: Mother's side: Indonesian/Australian Aborigine - Father's Side: Indian with hints of Persian
NICKNAMES: Nita, Canada, Anna, Empress, Kitten, Empress Kitten, Nita-chan, Tehzee and many more I probably can't think of right now.
REASON BEHIND USERNAME: The beginning of my username 'Assassin' derives from my love for the Assassin's Creed series. It was the series that made me proclaim to the world that I was/am officially a gamer - as I did get into videogaming pretty late it sounds like compared to many gamers here. Still love the series. The last part 'Nita' is actually my Hindi name that certain family and friends call me. It's typically an unconventional name nowadays but it means 'the guided' or moral one.

HOBBIES: Writing, Drawing, Reading, Cooking, Caring for Others, Hockey, Videogaming, Watching TV Shows/Films, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Spending time with family, Swimming and playing Yu-Gi-Oh.
PETS: Don't have any pets as of right now. Had various fish throughout my life -most recently an Arrowana, Ahab named after the captain from Moby Dick as while the captain had lost a leg, our fish was blind in one eye. Two cat's, one named Butter and the other name Smokey. One dog named Turf. The furry guys for a relatively short time. One day I will have a beautiful dark horse named Zombie.
PET PEEVES: I dislike people with a tendency towards gossip, people who think they are above everyone else, judgmental and disrespectful morons, narrow-minded people. Two faced people. When folks spend all their time judging a book when they haven't read it themselves. Flip flops and most sandals, they just bug me so much! Canned tomato sauce especially when the flavour is too strong. Silly peeps that think Street Fighter is the only fighting game series that matters, I don't give a rats ass about that. 
GAME CONSOLES OWNED: PC, PS3, PS4, PSP, PS Vita, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS.
FAVORITE GAME CONSOLE: PS3. Was my first console, can't help that.
FAVORITE GAME(S): My favorite game ever is Red Dead Redemption. There seriously isn't a game that screams me as much as that. Then maybe Fire Emblem: 7, I love that game to death. Here's another, Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier!
FAVORITE GAME FRANCHISE(S): Persona and Fire Emblem are my clear favorites. Assassins Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Mass Effect, Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear and Ace Attorney are all amazing.
FAVORITE/LEAST FAVORITE GAMING GENRES:
- Favorites: Action-RPG's, Third Person Shooters, Fighters, Strategy and basically anything with Open World.
- Least Favorites: FPS as I have severe motion sickness and feel like throwing up in 5 seconds flat because it's happened and I will, though Borderlands 2 seems to be the exception. Racing doesn't really interest me.
FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK:
- Favorite Food: MEEEEAAAT, particularly a classic steak and any food with a garlic/butter combination. My favorite specific dish though is an Indonesian recipe called "Ayam Ejo" literally translated as "Green Chicken," it's basically chicken straight up lathered completely in green chilies and fried to succulent deliciousness with hints of lime leaf. Most people can't handle it though hence I dub it, the 'Suicide Chicken.'
Another is a dish I enjoy making is Indian, Butter Chicken. Nothing beats the family recipe. Creamy and smooth to perfection.
I also love making Italian Chicken Cacciatore. And as you can probably discern, I love chicken.
I am a chef so there are literally so many dishes I could go on and on about but I'd make this profile 44 pages longer.
- Drink: Coffee, oh my god am I in love with coffee! <3 So good, so tasty, so much power, so much soul! <3 Also love water, lemon tea, ginger tea, chai tea, lemonade, hot chocolate and peanut punch!

FAVORITE MUSIC: Growing up I listened to a whole lot of Reggae, Mowtown and Bollywood but I listen to all kinds of music really, not going to lie though, Michael Jackson will always be my favorite. I cherish his music, he truly was a King at his craft. RIP, my inspiration.

OTHER RANDOM FACTS:
- I'm a born Canadian citizen from Alberta, basically situated in a place full of prairie yet not far away from the Rocky Mountains and as well as the plateaus and badlands. It's nice to travel quick and easy for a nice change of scenery. I love nature. There's something intrinsically freeing to be in the forest by yourself, with a book in hand, apple in another, eating by the river all alone.
- Red is my favorite colour, it's bold and filled with intensity. It also has that duality about it that I like, it can be harsh filled with anger yet on the flipside passionate and amorous.
- I come from a family of nine, my parents, four brothers and two sisters that happen to be twins. I'm the second oldest of the bunch and recently gained citizenship over my 19 year old severely autistic brother since I worry as my parents aren't getting any older. It's very hard to juggle studies, work, spending time with him and having time for myself. It's completely worth it though, I feel years older for it though.
- My extended family is just as big, as both my parents grew up with 9 siblings themselves and I'm even close to my cousins twice removed.
- I love to cosplay but I'm pretty camera shy. Doesn't stop people from calling me photogenic though...
- I have and irrational fear of bubbly, bump surfaces. My hair literally raises and I get goosebumps. I also hate dolls with a seething passion.
- My father grew up in Trinidad so though we still have Indian cultural influences, I typically just say that I'm half Indonesian/half Trinidadian for simplicities sake as we have a complete Caribbean flavour to us. My extended family in general is mixed as hell with a plethora of different peoples and it's what makes Canada stick very close to our hearts as our home, the unity of multiculturalism at it's finest. There are many different traditions my extended family takes part in as we have an abundance of different ideologies in tow, Christians of various sects, Muslim's, Atheist's, Hindu's, Buddist's, etc.
- I love to sing and dance though I'm sure I'm not good at either.
- I'm allergic to horses who are my favorite animals. </3 Back in the day I was allergic to everything furry so I'd love to go to the pet store and hold all the reptiles and amphibians. Also stemmed my love for creepy crawlies. I adore spiders and bee's. Nothing stops me from horseback riding though, even with red eyes and a runny nose.
- As a kid I got electrocuted and blacked out, I was dumb and was sick and tired of my younger brother who kept on rewatching Dumbo every single day. So I took a set of my mothers' keys and stuck it into an outlet. THEN POOF!
- I was bullied a lot when I was younger, but I'm a wrecking ball now, thanks to hockey. They taught me the ways of being a warrior.
- I have a kris from my grandpa from my mother's side of whom had passed away at 104 before I was born. I cherish it. It has beautiful inscriptions on it. I also have a collection of unique weapons. South American blow darts, handmade Native American aboriginal bow and arrows, kendo swords, a mace, etc...
- I'm a certified esthetican, professional makeup artist and nail tech. But currently working as a chef's assistant and waitressing.
- I'm admittedly a very affectionate romantic person.
- As a humanitarian I actively participate in charity funds for the impoverished and homeless; and raise awareness about food banks. Each year I work at my cities, International Human Rights Forum and Multicultural Festival. I have a deep inclination towards Aboriginal Rights and have Blackfoot and Crow friends from the reserves. It's a sad state to see the living conditions and environmental hazards they are kept living in.
- My favorite movie genre are Westerners and Thrillers. My least favorite being most comedy.
- I'm assuming you can now tell why I fell in love with Assassin's Creed.
